Eat: Brotzeit @ Westgate

Its my hubby's aunt's birthday last week and we brought her to try Brotzeit for a change of taste...

My 2 little ones all dressed up for the birthday dinner...

Brotzeit is a German Concept casual dining restaurant that offers authentic German Cuisine. If you look at the menu, they mainly serves sausages, pork knuckles and sauerkraut (sour cabbage).

The indoor seatings are limited, probably just about 8 tables, so do make reservations if you would like to sit indoor with air con. Otherwise, most of the seats are outdoor....

We reached quite early before the peak dinner time so manage to secure a seat indoor.

Ordered a Brotzeit Platter with Ribs (this is good for 4-5 person to share), it comes with a pork knuckle, best of Brotzeit sausages, honey Bavarian pork ribs and 2 sides of ur choice (we had wedges and sauerkraut)

Brotzeit Platter with Ribs, $ 98
The pork knuckle is very sinful, the skin is roasted to crisp, gave out "clucking" sound when you bite them , releasing the oily but delicious taste....and the meat is moist... Love how the pork knuckle is roasted...

The sausages platter also comes with few types of sausages, original pork sausages, cheese pork sausages and chilli sausages. Personally, my favourite are cheese and chilli sausages. I never know sausages could taste this good, even when i went to Germany few years back, i don't remember being so attracted to their sausages.. probably because i didn't go to the correct shop ....was still studying at that time and budget is limited....

However, i was disappointed by the ribs. It is not soft and the marinate is not flavourful. Personally, prefer the ribs at Morganfield.

We also had Rosti (not really a traditional german dish)... hehe.. but its nice... crispy! But forgot the price for the rosti already.

Birthday girl ordered a salad too... fresh and yummy! Cant remember the type of salad ordered though...

Food is soo good that Qin is licking her fingers :)

YUMMY!
We also ordered 2 pizzas (spinach and pepperoni if i didn't remember wrongly, cause my SIL is the one who placed the order and i was bringing my daughter to toilet when they pizza arrived, so didn't manage to take pic)...pizza is mediocre... nothing to shout again.. i guess because its not german dish after all :)))

Anyway, i am quite happy with the food there, mainly the sausages.. even bring my mum to try their sausages the following week at Vivocity.

Ended our meal with my homemade Mango Cream Cake... My maiden attempt on cream cake.. although the presentation is not fantastic, i am glad everyone enjoyed the cake!
