Eat: Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant

Prima Tower Revolving Restaurant is one of the restaurant in Spore that serves authentic Beijing cuisine... Went for dinner at this establishment few weeks back after trying their weekend dim sum few months ago.

If you would like to eat your meal with great view of Sentosa, Vivocity and its surrounding , this is the place for you. Best thing of all, the views rotate on its own so just sit back at your table and the view comes to you.. each time you look out of the window, a different view awaits!

Complimentary valet parking is available and once you reach, someone will help you park your car and you can proceed to the restaurant for your meal.

Located at the top! and its revolving!
They offer wedding package as well!
We reached and the view is great!

:))
The interior is classic and elegant round table with great view outside. Most of the tables are window seat, but there are some which are not so do make reservations to ensure that you are able to sit at their window seat to enjoy the views!

Our table
Most of the tables are window seat!
Great way to capture their attention..
Was too excited, forgot to take note of the prices.... but overall, we ordered 7 dishes, 10 white rice, and a pot of tea, all come out to about $320. I would say the price is at the steep side, but you get to enjoy the view. For dim sum and lunch, they do offer lunch set and price will be more reasonable so its a good choice to come for lunch instead unless of course, you wanted the night view :)

Cold platter-consist of century egg, fish, preserved cabbage, wine chicken, jellyfish and some pig part.  $55
Cold platter- cost $55 and we thought it would be impressive but were disappointed... I do like the century egg and the preserved cabbage but other than that, nothing great. Totally not worth the price...
Tofu with minced pork and mushroom
This tofu dish is quite nice, very nice to eat with rice.
Prawn salad
Prawn salad is normal.... and uses mixed bean, carrot as short cut.. looks like the frozen type.
Beijing Duck in egg skin
Beijing duck is nice, love how the crispy skin wrap in egg skin.. dip in the sauce and it goes nicely into my stomach.. yummy!
3 eggs vegetable
Three egg vege-Nice but not fantastic
Pork dish
Hui Guo Rou- many commented it is nice.. i think its normal..
Shredded duck in taugeh.. (using the duck from Beijing Duck), additional $8
Also normal...

Overall, i think most of the dishes are mediocre... would not re-visit if not for the view... also, price is at steep side.

I think the dim sum fare much better and would highly recommend to visit for their dim sum if you would like to try dining with a revolving view.

  1. I went to Prima on National Day 14, to celebrate my mum in law’s birthday. I regret to say that this is the worse experience we ever had.
Prima recommended the national day set, which cost me $550+ after GST. Menu was lobster salad, Peking duck, shark fin, broccoli with abalone, steam fish, noodle, and chrysanthemum cake. This menu is quite, and no doubt the entire ingredients used are generous, but …..X0X0…..
Lobster salad – by mum-in-law asked, is this chicken salad? My bro in-law, say, no it is pork salad. End up; we ate the beans and vegetable of the salad, not the lobster. I am 100% sure the lobster is way over cooked.
Peking duck – shouldn’t it be crispy but juicy within??? The duck skin I have was dry, not even a drip of oil!! tasted worse than what I BBQ….. Imagine you BBQ a pock slice (Ba4 qua1) till it turn black, it is exactly that taste that you imagine!!. I think they pre-cook it in the afternoon, and microwave it at night (and I got the overcooked duck)
Shark fin is tasteless – no doubt every bowl has a lot of shark fin, but the soap is tasteless.
Broccoli with Abalone – broccoli is not cooked. We only ate the abalone.
Noodle – ok, but it is as good as the coffee-shop standard. I think is a new cook.
Chrysanthemum cake - this is the best of the day, but I think they prepare beforehand.
I am not sure if they got temp cooks, but the standard is worse than any coffee shop I been to. I saw the chef cook came up around 8.30pm, I think must have lots of complain.
Note –Actually I like this restaurant before this incident, I go there twice a month for dim sum, it is good. But I will recommend against going during festival season, or occasions (wedding??) where they do mess cooking.

    1. Dear Anonymous, I am sorry that you had a bad dining experience. I do agree that their dim sum fares better than their dinner menu. We weren't "wow" by the food we had for dinner, but the food was decent during our visit. Definitely prefer the dim sum menu :)
