| Highlight of our trip! |
Just got to know there is a Rise and Shine Expo event at Suntec Convention Hall from my ex-colleagues .. i think i am such a "blur mum", didn't even know about this event until this morning.
My ex-colleague were telling me that they will be going. I wasn't sure if i wanted to go cause i don't really have anything that i am planning to buy... then i checked out the event website and i saw there is a Meet and Greet Disney Junior Character- Princess Sophia and Jake!!! These are my kiddo's favourite character so very last minute, i quickly bath the kids and "chiong" to the event!!!!
We reached there at 10.10am, and the event doesn't start until 11am. Being a newbie at these expo event ( i never really so kiasu and go on the first day and most of the time won't go due to the crowd), i decided to go for a late breakfast with kids. We had some bread at bread society, and then slowly walk to the event.
Wow, quite shock to see got Q already, some more its friday today... early in the morning so many people...luckily not that bad yet, so just Q up and wait for the door to open...

At the end of the hall, there is a stage and at 11.15am, there is Thomas show.. waited there....

And was super disappointed to see these 2 ladies, in the carton box... pretending to be thomas and edward... was expecting something more... but they tried their best to entertain everyone... good job for the ladies.

There are also some other events like colouring contest going on... but need to register online prior to the event.. so didn't manage to enrol my kiddos :(

There is a huge Winnie the Pooh bear, can take pic and upload to Instagram to win some prize....

To be honest, i think the best booth is the Disney Junior booth. It is so colourful and really can attract attention of the kids...
They have Meet and Greet Session with Sophia and Jack the Pirate, some really cute and nicely decorated rooms with soft toys and disney toys, show casing some Sophia and Jake Merchandise, mini games, and fill a survey to get a free pencil case, also got free Pooh bibs.
Time to meet the Disney Characters.... make sure you are there at least 30 mins before it starts, cause the Q started to form by then... There is no need to purchase anything, just need to be there and Q up.. In fact, the disney booth doesn't sell anything, they give up brochure for some of their toys promo at Toys R Us, that is all... they really just intend to entertain everyone... didn't even sell any merchandise....

Once you Q, the staff will give out the pass. Each pass entitled for 4 pax to take pic with the character...

Before Jake grand appearance, the host will ask some questions and give up some prizes...My girl are too shy and to be honest, i wasn't a big fan of Jake so not sure what are the answer.. :(

And here comes jake!!!
Saying "hello" to everyone! And the photo session begins, just pass your phone or camera and the staff will kindly help to take photo. they also help to put ur bags at one side.... very good service!
Some other worth visiting booth is the Mothercare booth, but be prepared to Q super long for payment.... After seeing the queue to pay, decided not to check out the items... i am sure the discount is good cause i see many people lugging huge basket of purchase and queue for payment. If i didn't bring my 2 kiddos, i think i might try and get a good bargain, but pushing a stroller and to go "chiong" shopping is really not very easy....so decided to give it a miss.
Another one worth mentioning is this Lura booth, they provide mattress cleaning especially for kids ... what they do is to remove dust mite.. and what i understand is they clean for 45 mins and its dry cleaning so mattress can be used straightaway after cleaning. So during the expo, if you sign up for a free mattress cleaning service, a free gift will be given. It's a 2 tier tupperware, and can keep warm.. not sure how good is the keep warm quality though... its quite pretty too. Will show the picture at the end.
Lastly is the Heinz promotion, i think the price is quite ok .. slightly cheaper than supermarket.
