Eat: Kiang Kee Bak Kut Teh @ Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia

Introducing this famous Bak Kut Teh place off Kota Tinggi road...I was first brought here to taste this yummy bak kut teh by my dad, who came across this during one of his fishing trip.

I love the taste of the bak kut teh soup because it is very flavourful and one can taste that the soup is made from chinese herbs and not the ready-made bak kut teh packet. I love the strong herbal taste in the soup.... so whenever we have a chance to visit (e.g.: during our getaway to Desaru), we would detour slightly and savour this delicious bak kut teh.

Although this place is not on the main road, and basically no sign board until you are near to the destination, it is always full and most of the items will be sold out well before lunch. So do come early if you do not want to be disappointed.

Do not worry if it is ur first time here, as long as you are on the correct road, you can see a lot of car parked... you can also see many spore car who purposely drive here to eat...

The restaurant has a very rustic kampung look, one dine under the traditional atap leaves roof...

The ever famous bak kut teh top with crispy bean curd skin....

My first visit was few years back, and since i feel that the quality has dropped. The soup is not so flavourful compared to before, i can barely taste the herbs anymore... although the bak kut teh is still nicer than the bak kut teh sold elsewhere, but i am kinda disappointed that it is not as nice as before..

They also have some side orders: pig's stomach.. which is comforting for the stomach.

We also had pig's kidney soup which came a bit later so didn't manage to take pic...

Price is reasonable, for all the items above plus 9 bowls of rice and a pot of tea, everything comes to RM102, which is really reasonable for 7 adults and 2 children.
