Eat: Thai Express @ JCube

If you wanted to eat somewhere with no Q even during weekend dinner, this is the place for u!

Haven't been to JCube for ages... ever since JEM and Westgate open, most people diverted to the newly open shopping mall, nearer to MRT and more choices of shop and food place....

But the parking is always full especially during weekend. As we couldn't get a place to park, so decided to go to JCube instead....

The restaurant is really not that full even during weekend dinner time, we get a seat immediately.. Good choice for those who didn't want to wait in the queue for your dinner....and actually JCube is just 5 minutes covered pathway away from JEM and Westgate...hehe

They have this all day, everyday set meal. Express Fried Rice with Deep Fried Chicken Wings, comes with winter melon soup and Sweet corn sago dessert.. all for $8.90. Ordered this for the kids cause it is not spicy.

Express Set Meal

This is how the real thing looks like... tomato fried rice with chicken wings, winter melon and a sago dessert with some red ruby on it.

Wouldn't say the set meal is super nice but suitable for children, tomato fried rice is not spicy and provide starchy food for them. They love to munch on the wings too.. and some soup to drink while eating. Plus a sweets to end the meal :)

Hubby ordered his usual Fried Shrimp Paste Rice with Seafood. It is as nice as usual... rice fried with shrimp paste sauce and comes with generous amount of prawn, squid and fish..

Shrimp Paste Fried Rice with Seafood, $10.30
One of the usual that i will order... Glass Noodle with Black Pepper Soft Shell Crab in Claypot.. well, not served in clay pot but rather a aluminium bowl... but taste is good. If you like black pepper, this is something you should order. The black pepper taste is very prominent in the glass noodle, and the deep fried soft shell crab are yummy too!

Glass Noodle with Black Pepper Soft Shell Crab, $15.60
This is my favourite drink in Thai Express and I haven't been able to find a replicate of this Avocado Milkshake elsewhere.. I am not sure what they add but it is really creamy and without the avocado grass-y taste, also no vanilla ice cream or chocolate syrup taste which i don't really fancy....but prices are on the steep side, $6.20 for an avocado milkshake is definitely too much!!!!

Avocado milkshake, $6.20

Overall, still enjoyed the food here and best of all, no Q even during weekend dinner timing!
